Will's Story

Hi friends, it's that time of year again........Please help me fund this awesome team that brings such joy to those of us that have challenges moving.

It was March of 2017 when I survived the stroke. Still, my disability makes it hard to find activities that bring me joy. Adaptive ski Sessions with Achieve are one of the few things I get to look forward to. Back in the before, I would see the Achieve team, out on the slopes, skiing with brave people smiling wide as they experienced the exhilaration of movement.. The stroke stole the use of my left side. Today, four years later, with the help of endless therapy, hard work and very little fun, I am able to walk short distances with a limp - no walks in the woods (yet), no walks on the beach (yet), no walks with the dog (yet) - but with the help from experts at Achieve, play on the snow (yes)!

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Achieve Tahoe. I know there are lots of organizations asking these days, $5, $10, $20 or more all add up to fun on the snow

Achieve Tahoe is a nonprofit that builds health, confidence and independence through recreational sports for children and adults with disabilities. The organization serves over 500 people a year through one-on-one snowsports lessons, waterskiing, paddle sports and more. Achieve Tahoe's highly trained instructors and specialized, adaptive equipment allow the organization to serve just about anyone with any disability. Achieve Tahoe participants and family members often say that their experience with Achieve Tahoe goes on to affect other areas of their life such as gaining confidence to try other sports, becoming more social, and breaking down perceived barriers showing them that they can do things they perhaps never thought they could before.

Join me in supporting this cause and provide life-changing experiences for children and adults with disabilities!
