Hi, my name is Grant Beall. When I was five years old I lost my right leg due to a flesh-eating bacteria. A few years afterward I found Achieve Tahoe. Thanks to the amazing staff and volunteers I learned how to 3-track ski (skiing on one ski using outriggers for balance). Learning how to ski as an amputee played a pivotal role in my career as an athlete. The confidence and independence it instilled in me pushed me to pursue anything I had an interest in such as collegiate swimming & water polo, wrestling, rock climbing, downhill mountain biking, and surfing to name a few. It has been a core building block for my confidence as an amputee, not to mention the joy it brings me every time I am on the mountain. This year I have been given the opportunity to return to Achieve Tahoe as an instructor. It has been some of the most fulfilling work of my life. This organization gives life-changing experiences and leaves positive impacts on children and adults every day. I would really appreciate any support you may be willing to give, thank you!

Achieve Tahoe is a nonprofit that builds health, confidence, and independence through recreational sports for children and adults with disabilities. The organization serves over 600 people a year through one-on-one snowsports lessons, waterskiing, paddle sports, and more. Achieve Tahoe's highly trained instructors and specialized, adaptive equipment allow the organization to serve just about anyone with any disability. Achieve Tahoe participants and family members often say that their experience with Achieve Tahoe goes on to affect other areas of their life such as gaining confidence to try other sports, becoming more social, and breaking down perceived barriers showing them that they can do things they never thought they could before.

Join me in supporting this cause and provide life-changing experiences for children and adults with disabilities!
