My Achieve Tahoe Story:
My husband, Keegan Byrnes started volunteering at Achieve in 2012 and quickly became a staff instructor. I volunteered for events then started working at Achieve as well managing reservations at the front desk. It was such an amazing job that I LOVED because my day was filled with seeing people accomplish things they've never done before and maybe never thought they'd do.
After starting my business full-time, I've continued to volunteer with Achieve mainly as a photographer but I'm also hoping to volunteer in their equestrian program again this summer.
I cannot express to you how important this program is to so so so many people and families. Achieve Tahoe helps people living with disabilities (both intellectual and physical) to build independence, strength and to experience the outdoors when they might not otherwise be able to. The program literally could not run without volunteers and generous donations from folks like you.

These images are from last year's Ability Challenge where I had so much fun, and I'm looking forward to being a volunteer photog again this Saturday! Anyone who raises the minimum amount or more is able to ski all day with an instructor while also participating in fun challenges and OF COURSE we wear costumes!
