Hey y’all it’s Jimi Brenner, I have this opportunity to give back to this program that has provided me with so much.

Achieve Tahoe, they have provided me the equipment, infrastructure (close accessible parking, easy access to the ski lift, and all other accommodations for someone with a disability), also the instruction, lift ticket and absolutely rad times. Thanks to generous donators Achieve Tahoe’s program is possible.

I have a t4 complete spinal cord injury from the results of a car accident in January of 2020. Thanks to Achieve Tahoe I am getting back out in the mountains and working towards my goal of becoming independent at mono sit skiing. Only getting out late last season for two lessons I was very excited to be back out on the snow but in a totally new way. At first it was very humbling the difficulty of sit skiing, like being out snowboarding for the very first time all over again, maybe even more. This season with Achieve Tahoe I have progressed quickly, more than I ever anticipated thanks to their help and the high fives foundation I am getting closer to my goal of skiing independently once again!
