Dear Friends and Family,
Many of you know that this winter I’ve been working as a full-time ski instructor with Vail Resorts at Northstar-at-Tahoe. During orientation, we were introduced to the inspiring nonprofit Achieve Tahoe, which provides adaptive ski and snowboard lessons for people of all abilities.
On my days off from teaching at Northstar, I've been volunteering with Achieve Tahoe as an apprentice instructor and now as a lead instructor. It is a truly life-changing experience—for the students and for me!
There is nothing quite like seeing the huge smiles and hearing the squeals of joy when a student feels the thrill of skiing “fast” down the mountain. Being able to capture those special moments on video for their families and caregivers is incredibly heartwarming.
