Team Lynch Mob

Dear Friends and Family:

My time at Achieve Tahoe ("AT") this year is off to a slow start. My Annual Day of Re-orientation on December 16 followed by Lessons on December 17 and 18 needed to be cancelled. Jane and I were home keeping an eye on the Thomas Fire in Ventura County, the largest fire in the history of California. The fire was pretty close to our home, but the Santa Ana winds blew it away from us. Thank God. Next up, I was scheduled to teach January 1 and 2. I came down with the flu on December 26th and while I made it to Tahoe I was not able to get out of bed. Further, our snow is pretty scarce. Most of the storms have passed us and slammed the east coast. That appears to be changing and the window to the Gulf of Alaska storms seems to be opening up to the west coast and the Tahoe Region. I'm going to be busy the rest of the season.

While I'm a little late to service this year, AT is busy at work. Our season opened December 17th despite some lack of natural snow. Alpine/Squaw have been making snow nearly every night and the mountain opened in early December. Our Ability Bash is February 10th and the Ability Challenge 2018 is April 7th. I hope you can help Sponsor the Lynch Mob again this year. This is our 12th year volunteering and helping to support AT as they provide affordable, inclusive physical and recreational activities that build health, confidence, and independence for children, adults and military with physical, sensory and cognitive disabilities.

Last year, we served over 650 people of all ages and abilities at AT. In fact, the last two years were our busiest in our 50 year history. We are committed to making that grow and serving more wonderful people and families. Last year, AT met its funding raising goal and the Lynch Mob and over 200 volunteers who served over 7000 hours will diligently make sure they meet their needs again in 2018.

Thank you for your past generous support and for believing in our cause. One of our students recently wrote, "Thank you Achieve Tahoe for the opportunity for us to live and love life."

Very grateful,

Jane and Joe
