This is my sixth year of donating my time and skills to Achieve Tahoe. The organization uses my teaching and ski Instructing skills to help our special population. My students range from Wounded Warriors, visually impair and cognitively impair people. I also feel I get more gratification from my students than they get from the thrill of learning how to ski.

Over winter break, I skied with a 9 year boy who had a rare genetic illness called Neurofribromatosis. The mother was not sure if her child would be able to enjoy the basics of sliding on the snow. After the first lesson, the child was able to load and unload from the chair lift and ski with turns and control down the Subway chairlift at Alpine Meadows. When I conferenced with the mother that her son could enjoy skiing, she cried. I skied with the boy 2 more lessons, and he was then able to ski independently with mom and grandma. To see appreciation of the family was more gratifying than any payment I could receive. Please help me raise money for this exceptional program.
