Last year was the Fiftieth Anniversary of Achieve Tahoe, the inaugural chapter of Disabled Sports. Since the inception in 1967 when WWII amputees imparted their knowledge to Vietnam vets, the program has grown and provides winter and summer recreational therapy to people of all ages and challenges.
I am pleased to be a small part of this great organization. We have many wonderful winter events from military camps to teenage outings. We provide instruction on a one to one basis and adhere to our motto: Safety, Fun and Learning. These sessions provide students with a renewed sense of independence and confidence. Drop by for a visit and experience it for yourself.
Of course in order to have Fun we have Fundraisers. This is our annual appeal for the Ability Challenge and provides us with the money to provide our students with adaptive equipment for winter and summer activities. So thank you in advance for whatever is in your heart to donate
