Tim Lucas's Fundraiser
Join me in providing life changing experiences for children and adults with disabilities!
Help me reach my goal to support Achieve Tahoe programs.
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
Achieve Tahoe is a nonprofit that builds health, confidence, and independence through recreational sports for children and adults with disabilities. The organization serves over 600 people a year through one-on-one snowsports lessons, waterskiing, paddle sports, and more. Achieve Tahoe's highly trained instructors and specialized, adaptive equipment allow the organization to serve just about anyone with any disability. Achieve Tahoe participants and family members often say that their experience with Achieve Tahoe goes on to affect other areas of their life such as gaining confidence to try other sports, becoming more social, and breaking down perceived barriers showing them that they can do things they never thought they could before.
"Because of Achieve Tahoe, my son is now walking and no longer constrained to a wheel chair" - Participants Mom told me after an all day lesson with her 13year old son who had been going to Achieve for over 5 years and instructors like Karen Witt helped her son develop the strength and independence.
"Look at me, look at me!" - One of our participants who arrived at Achieve not wanting to ski. But after a quick dance party with some of her friends, we got her to ski and she had a blast.

One of our participants who didn't want to ski, but thanks to Kerry, she had a blast shouting out "look at me" to her friends. Kerry is just one great example of the 200+ volunteers who help our participants have fun and be safe while building their health, confidence and independence
This is an example of a sit ski that we brought to the "Made in Tahoe Festival" this past fall
